Cocktail Bun

Cocktail buns (chicken tail buns), or Coconut buns, are a favorite at Chinese bakeries. This recipe is soft, fluffy, authentic, and incredibly easy to make.

  1. Microwave for 30s, stir & 20s to take off the chill and make lukewarm.
  2. Put 160g of Double Cream & 240g of Whole Milk in a bowl.
  3. Pour into a mixing bowl, add the rest of the ingredients in order: Egg, Sugar, Cake Flour, Bread Flour, Dry Yeast, Salt
  4. Mix at low speed using hook attachment for 15 minutes
